Damn them!

So last night I went to the Unions Annual Awards Dinner, just like I do every year. The bowling club was up for some awards and I personally was up for an award.

The awards that I was interested in where:
Club of the year
Team of the year
Most improved club
Volunteer of the year

So just like every year the bowling club comes away empty handed dispite performing better than most clubs for far longer than any other club. Ok I may not have deserved the Volunteer of the year, twas a bit of a long shot but the Bowling club should have won something by now. I mean come on, we've had a four year winning streak ffs three of our players are in the top 40 national rankings, membership has improved year on year, no other club has been as successful as us for as long as us.

So why don't we win anything? Because we're not considered a "propper sport" by the union or it's members. It's fuckin' annoying, I've dedicated the last four years to the club and for what? To be brushed aside because of some stupid pre-conceptions about bowling.

Bunch of fuckers the lot of them.
