Masters Dissertation Day 27

So the last couple of weeks have been interesting, first I had two days work wasted because I forgot about sorting out the UV mapping. So that took a while to do, then I had to repeat the work that was originally done. Then I spent some time trying to make normal maps in ZBrush only to find that the way I'd made the tank was the wrong for how ZBrush works, so I tried using the render to texture option in Max only for that to just not work, so finally I got my hands on Melody the normal map making app from NVidia along with their normal map filter for photoshop so I've spent the last few days working on making the normal maps, so far I have the main body done, planning on having the other parts (engines, drones, turret, rail gun, landing gears) done by the end of the week.

It's been manic lately and it's getting to the point where I'm getting a bit sick of looking at this damn tank but I've still got a good month and a half left before I can hand it in. Plus I've got a re-sit coming up at the end of August, which isn't going to help matters.

God I hate normal mapping!

This is Benji Dude, asking you to talk a ride in my tank.

what color are you doing the skining? Tau tanks look gud in red or dark blu i think.

I'm thinking of just going for the standard advertising colours, sandy browns, makes it more identifiable that way.
